I was raised in a Pentecostal church in New York. So, I have always been exposed to and taught about the existence of God, faith in God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was thirteen when I first made a personal commitment to Jesus.
When I realized the goodness of God in my life, I was led to repentance. The blessings that were in my life were for God's purpose, in that others may be healed and blessed also.
Church and family members were very instrumental in me seeing God's purpose and direction for my life. The privilege of being exposed to and seeing miracles take place was part of the deposits God was building in me. I was mentored by my Uncle, who was an Elder, Minister and Prophet in the body of Christ.
I transferred to Maryland when in the Marine Corps and started attending an affiliated church for 10 years. That church folded, and I started attending a sister church, Seven Covenant Church. I was an Elder at the previous church, and God has placed an affection in my heart for His people, to exhort, encourage and build them up in the most holy faith. I have since become an Elder at Severn.
My wife, Tricia, and I have been married for 25 years. We have three children; Ian, Victoria and William. We have always taught our children to love God and His people and to express gratitude to God in everything.
Severn Covenant Church is family to us. The love of the brethren in most cases is deeper than that of a biological family. God is building us into a spiritual house fit for His habitation.
